... and Project Management

Once pointed out it just seems obvious and common sense: projects are complex. They have many parts and these are connected. The consequence is that many learnings of complexity theory can be applied.

Here are a few examples: Projects are chaotic systems, but they follow rules. Their outcome can be influenced, but never fully controlled. They are self-similar. Properly set up as systems their performance can be positively influenced. They become more resilient to "system failure," but also more challenging to manage.
