Summary This is a software guide, covering configuration and use of SAP\'s core project management module Project System (PS). The author leads the reader through all of the PS system\'s capabilities, function by function. Detailed Review Often users find themselves in a situation where decisions have been made about design, configuration and user functionality. This book empowers them to look beyond the small picture and review other options, or gain or refresh an understanding of how project management with SAP affects processes and other SAP areas in more detail. Mario Franz defines lots of SAP project management terms and puts them in the context of the application\'s overall ERP functionality. It is a detailed book without being overly technical. The book requires some basic understanding of SAP and of project management with that software package.
Recommendation Even for an experienced user and considering that SAP\'s online help is available to anybody, this is an excellent reference book. Within minutes you can refresh your understanding of specific topics. It cannot replace SAP courses or the help of internal or external consultants during an implementation or re-design process. However, it should be on the desk of functional tea members when designing, re-designing, or setting up project management solutions using SAP PS. |
